Ha Giang bans wearing bikinis on tourist boats on Nho Que River

This action is not only inappropriate but also greatly affects the image and recognition of the province's tourism brand.

The code of conduct for civilized tourism issued by the People's Committee of Ha Giang province since 2018 requires tourists to wear appropriate and polite clothing when traveling.

Nho Que River also does not have swimming or bathing services for tourists. Therefore, the female tourist wearing a bikini, laughing and posing on the boat received much criticism from the online community and residents in the province.

On September 15, Tu San Agricultural and Tourism Service Cooperative issued regulations for tourists and boat crew when using services at Tu San alley and the landscape on Nho Que river.

Accordingly, visitors are required to wear life jackets during all activities on the ship or cruise (except when the ship or cruise stops to take photos). Visitors are not allowed to eat or drink in the waiting area or on the ship or cruise, and absolutely do not use drugs or addictive substances, and do not smoke (including electronic cigarettes) in the ship or cruise area.

Visitors are encouraged to wear traditional costumes when visiting Nho Que River.

The regulations clearly state that tourists "must not dress indecently, not wear bikinis on ships or boats, and are encouraged to wear traditional costumes." The unit also requires tourists not to cause chaos or cause unsafety on the boat.

The regulations were completed and supplemented by the Ha Giang Tourism Promotion Information Center in coordination with Tu San Agricultural and Tourism Service Cooperative on the basis of the old regulations.

Ms. Vu Thi Mai Huong - Deputy Director of Ha Giang Tourism Promotion Information Center - affirmed that the regulations were issued in the spirit of considering Tu San Canyon as a geological heritage, not simply a pure ecological site. Therefore, it is necessary to have an attitude of preservation and protection to enhance the value of the landscape.

Tu San is considered the "first majestic pass" with a cliff height of 700-800m, a length of 1.7km, and a depth of nearly 1km. Tu San Alley is a type of geomorphological tectonic heritage, a paleontological - stratigraphic - paleoenvironmental heritage discovered in the area of 3 communes Pai Lung, Pa Vi and Xin Cai (Meo Vac district, Ha Giang province).

The alley is located on the Nho Que River with emerald green water, amidst the rugged Northeastern mountainous terrain, creating a picturesque landscape.
