Accordingly, the evaluation and ranking of 104 OCOP products from Hanoi will take place over two days, January 10th and 11th. These are products that have already been evaluated at the district level and have the potential to achieve OCOP 4-star status.
Of these 104 products, 93 are food products; 1 is a herbal product; 7 are handicraft and textile products; and 3 are ornamental plant products from 32 different entities.
According to Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Head of the Standing Office of the City's New Rural Development Program Coordination Office, in 2023, the evaluation and ranking of OCOP products was carried out according to Decision 148/QD-TTg (dated February 24, 2023) of the Prime Minister on the regulations on the set of criteria and procedures for evaluating and ranking OCOP products. Accordingly, the evaluation will be conducted at the commune, district, provincial, and central levels, corresponding to the 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star ratings of OCOP products.
Previously, in 2023, the districts and towns of Hanoi city evaluated and ranked 544 products, achieving and exceeding 136% of the city's assigned plan. Of these, 440 products were rated 3 stars, and 104 products had the potential to be rated 4 stars, belonging to 200 entities (50 businesses, 36 cooperatives, and 114 household businesses).
The products evaluated were diverse in type, including: 280 processed food products, accounting for 51.5%; 16 raw food products, accounting for 2.9%; 61 fresh food products, accounting for 1.2%; 16 beverage products, accounting for 2.9%; 1 herbal product, accounting for 0.2%; 142 handicraft and textile products, accounting for 26.1%; and 28 ornamental plant products, accounting for 5.1%. Of these, 141 out of 544 products were from traditional craft villages, accounting for 25.9%...
Mr. Nguyen Van Chi stated that the Hanoi New Rural Development Program Coordination Office, in collaboration with the city, is expanding the market for products participating in the program, with a focus on export products that bring high economic value. Currently, the city is also concentrating on expanding the market for OCOP products.
