In which wishes 1 and 2 are located in the enrollment area where the student is registered (in accordance with the place of permanent residence registration). Aspiration 3 can be registered in different enrollment areas among the 12 enrollment areas specified by the Department of Education and Training.

Hanoi allows private schools to consider 10th grade admission by reviewing transcripts immediately after the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Private schools and autonomous public schools can simultaneously consider admission based on academic transcripts and test scores of the common exam.
Hanoi currently has 117 non-specialized public high schools, 2 specialized high schools, 9 autonomous public high schools, 4 cooperative high schools and 97 private high schools.
