
According to representatives of the Hanoi People's Procuracy, in the first three months of 2025, the two-level Procuracy of the city seriously and proactively implemented the work requirements of the sector and the locality. The implementation of the work targets of the two-level Procuracy ensured progress, with some targets maintained at a high rate and exceeding the sector's targets.
Specifically, the rate of arrests leading to criminal prosecution reached 100%; the rate of timely prosecution and prosecution of defendants for the correct crimes both reached 100%; the rate of identifying key criminal cases reached 10.9%; and the rate of resolving complaints and denunciations under the jurisdiction of the Procuracy reached 73%...
In the remaining months of 2025, the People's Procuracy of the city will continue to closely monitor the situation, coordinate with local judicial agencies to expedite the resolution of cases, and ensure the completion and successful fulfillment of work targets assigned by the National Assembly and the sector.
The Hanoi People's Procuracy also requested that the Hanoi National Assembly delegation propose to the Central Inter-Ministerial Committee on the need to strengthen guidance on the application of laws, codes, and other documents related to the activities of the People's Procuracy; and at the same time, review guiding documents to promptly amend, supplement, or replace regulations that are no longer appropriate, creating favorable conditions for the application of the law.
According to a report by the Hanoi People's Court, from October 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, the two-level People's Courts of Hanoi handled 27,290 cases and resolved 17,032 cases, achieving a resolution rate of 62.41%. Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of cases handled increased by 3,463, and the number of cases resolved increased by 2,337. Notably, 4 out of 7 cases monitored and directed by the Central Steering Committee and 100% of the cases monitored and directed by the Hanoi City Party Committee's Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena were resolved.
The Hanoi People's Court also petitioned the National Assembly to review and amend several legal provisions, especially the Law on Administrative Procedure and the Law on Bankruptcy; and requested the Supreme People's Court to pay attention to and create conditions for supplementing staffing, especially secretaries, for the two-level People's Courts of Hanoi, in accordance with the specific characteristics of the capital city.
