According to the representative of the Hanoi People's Procuracy, in the first 3 months of 2025, the two-level People's Procuracy of the city has seriously and proactively implemented the work requirements of the industry and the locality. The implementation of the work targets of the two-level People's Procuracy has ensured progress, some targets have maintained a high rate and exceeded the industry's targets.
Specifically, the rate of arrests and criminal prosecutions reached 100%; the rate of timely prosecutions and prosecutions of the correct suspects reached 100%; the rate of determining major criminal cases reached 10.9%; the rate of handling complaints and denunciations under the authority of the Procuracy reached 73%...
In the remaining months of 2025, the City People's Procuracy will continue to closely monitor the situation, coordinate with local judicial agencies to speed up the progress of case settlement, ensure the completion and good completion of work targets assigned by the National Assembly and the industry.
The Hanoi People's Procuracy also requested the city's National Assembly Delegation to recommend that the Central Judicial Branch strengthen guidance on the application of codes, laws and other documents related to the activities of the People's Procuracy; at the same time, review guiding documents to promptly amend, supplement or replace inappropriate regulations, creating favorable conditions for law enforcement.
According to the report of the Hanoi People's Court, from October 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, the Hanoi People's Court at two levels received 27,290 cases and resolved 17,032 cases, reaching a rate of 62.41%. Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of cases received increased by 3,463 cases and the number of cases resolved increased by 2,337 cases. In particular, 4/7 cases were resolved by the Central Steering Committee and 100% of the cases were monitored and directed by the City Party Committee's Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity.
The Hanoi People's Court also recommended to the National Assembly to review and amend a number of legal provisions, especially the Law on Administrative Procedures, the Law on Bankruptcy, etc.; recommended that the Supreme People's Court pay attention to and create conditions to supplement the staff, especially the secretaries for the two-level People's Courts of Hanoi City, in accordance with the characteristics of the capital city of Hanoi. Because the dispute relationships are often very complicated; on the other hand, Hanoi is often assigned by the Central Government to resolve major and serious economic and corruption cases, etc.
