Hanoi welcomed 2.18 million tourists in November.

(To Quoc) - According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism , in November 2024, the total number of tourists visiting Hanoi reached 2.18 million, an increase of 16.0% compared to the same period in 2023.

Of these, international tourists are estimated at 680,800, an increase of 28.4% compared to the same period last year (including 480,000 international tourists with overnight stays); domestic tourists are estimated at 1.5 million, an increase of 7.1% compared to the same period last year. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 9,593 billion, an increase of 20.2% compared to the same period in 2023.

It is projected that in the first 11 months of 2024, the total number of tourists visiting Hanoi will reach 25.33 million, an increase of 11.7% compared to the same period in 2023.

Of these, international tourists are estimated to reach 5.67 million (exceeding the target set in the 2024 Plan: an estimated 5.5 million tourists for the whole year), an increase of 35.8% compared to the same period in 2023 (including 3.99 million international tourists with overnight stays).

Domestic tourist arrivals are estimated at 19.66 million, an increase of 6.3% compared to the same period in 2023. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 99,949 billion, an increase of 17.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

In November 2024, the average hotel occupancy rate was estimated at 67.1%, an increase of 13.9% compared to the same period in 2023.

Hanoi has 3,761 accommodation establishments with 71,256 rooms; including 91 hotels and apartment complexes with ratings from 1 to 5 stars, totaling 12,147 rooms.

In Hanoi, there are currently 45 food and beverage establishments, 43 shopping establishments, 7 entertainment establishments, and 2 healthcare establishments that have been certified as meeting standards for serving tourists.

The system of shopping, dining, and entertainment facilities that meet the standards for serving tourists has attracted and served a large number of tourists and locals who come to visit and shop.
