Hanoi welcomed 2.18 million tourists in November

(To Quoc) - Hanoi Department of Tourism said that in November 2024, the total number of tourists to Hanoi reached 2.18 million, an increase of 16.0% over the same period in 2023.

Of which, international tourists are estimated at 680.8 thousand arrivals, up 28.4% over the same period last year (including 480 thousand international tourists with accommodation), domestic tourists are estimated at 1.5 million arrivals, up 7.1% over the same period last year. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 9,593 billion, up 20.2% over the same period in 2023.

It is expected that in the first 11 months of 2024, the total number of tourists to Hanoi will reach 25.33 million, an increase of 11.7% over the same period in 2023.

Of which, international tourists are estimated to reach 5.67 million arrivals (exceeding the target set by the Plan for 2024: the whole year is estimated to reach 5.5 million arrivals), an increase of 35.8% over the same period in 2023 (including 3.99 million international tourists with accommodation).

Domestic tourists are estimated at 19.66 million, up 6.3% over the same period in 2023. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 99,949 billion, up 17.8% over the same period in 2023.

In November 2024, the average room occupancy rate of the hotel block is estimated at 67.1%, an increase of 13.9% over the same period in 2023.

Hanoi has 3,761 accommodation establishments with 71,256 rooms; including 91 hotels and apartment buildings with ratings from 1 to 5 stars with a total of 12,147 rooms.

In Hanoi, there are currently 45 food service establishments, 43 shopping service establishments, 07 entertainment establishments, and 02 health care service establishments that have been recognized as meeting standards for serving tourists.

The system of shopping, dining and entertainment facilities that meet tourist standards has attracted and served a large number of tourists and residents to visit and shop./.
