Drivers should pay attention to traffic diversion information during the April 30th and May 1st holidays in Hanoi to ensure safe routes and comply with traffic regulations.

The Hanoi Department of Construction has just issued a plan to guide traffic flow management to serve the travel needs of people during the April 30th and May 1st holidays.

Specifically, vehicles traveling from Hanoi to the southern provinces can take the following routes:

- From central Hanoi, take the Phap Van - Cau Gie interchange to access the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway.

- From central Hanoi, take the old National Highway 1: Giai Phong - Ngoc Hoi - National Highway 1 to the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway at the Van Diem interchange; Dai Xuyen interchange (Phu Xuyen district).

- National Highway 6 (Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Quang Trung axis) - Ba La intersection, take Road 21B - National Highway 38 to reach the old National Highway 1 (Dong Van interchange) or enter the Vuc Vong interchange to access the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway.

- National Highway 6 (Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Quang Trung axis) - turn left onto Phung Hung road - to the southern main road - turn left onto Provincial Road 427B - to Thuong Tin station to enter the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway.

- National Highway 6 to Xuan Mai town - then Ho Chi Minh Highway - Road 21B.

To reduce traffic congestion on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway and the Phap Van interchange, vehicles from southern provinces can take the following routes to enter Hanoi:

- At the Liem Tuyen intersection on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway: take provincial road 494 - national highway 21B - national highway 6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong).

- At the Vuc Vong intersection on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway, follow these two directions:

+ Turn left onto National Highway 38 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong).

+ Turn right onto National Highway 38 - cross Yen Le Bridge - National Highway 39A - Provincial Road 379 - intersection with Ring Road 3 (Thanh Tri Bridge).

- At the Van Diem intersection: turn left onto National Highway 1 - Provincial Road 429 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong).

- At the Thuong Tin intersection: take provincial road 427 - to the southern arterial road - Phung Hung road (Ha Dong).

Vehicles traveling from Hanoi to the northeastern provinces ( Bac Giang , Bac Ninh, Lang Son, etc.) and vice versa can follow these routes:

- Ring Road 3 - Thanh Tri Bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.

- Nhat Tan Bridge - Vo Nguyen Giap - National Highway 18 leading to Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.

- Chuong Duong Bridge - Nguyen Van Cu - Ha Huy Tap - Ngo Gia Tu - Duong Bridge - then onto the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.

Vehicles traveling from Hanoi to the northwestern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, etc.) and vice versa can follow these routes:

- Thang Long Bridge - Vo Van Kiet Street - National Highway 2 to the Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway.

- Thang Long Bridge - Provincial Road 23 - Me Linh Road to National Highway 2.

- Thang Long Bridge - Nam Hong overpass - Road 23 - National Highway 2 - Provincial Road 310B leading to Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway.

- National Highway 3 - Provincial Road 296 - access to the Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway.

- National Highway 32 leads to Phu Tho.

Vehicles traveling from Hanoi to northern provinces (Hoa Binh, Son La, etc.) and vice versa can follow these routes:

- Thang Long Boulevard - Tan Linh Road - Yen Bai - Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh Expressway.

- National Highway 6 - Xuan Mai town - Hoa Binh province.

Vehicles traveling from Hanoi to the eastern provinces (Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, etc.) and vice versa can follow these routes:

- Co Linh Road - intersection of Ring Road 3 and Co Linh Road - Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway.

- Provincial Road 379 leads to Hung Yen and Hai Phong.

- Old National Highway 5 (Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Duc Thuan) leading to Hai Duong.

- Thanh Tri Bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway - leading to National Highway 18.

This year, for the April 30th and May 1st holidays, workers nationwide will have a continuous 5-day break, from Wednesday (April 30th) to Sunday (May 4th), and will work a compensatory day on Saturday (April 26th).
