About 110km from Rach Gia City, Ha Tien City has a very diverse and rich terrain and topography with majestic mountains close to the Cambodian border; the vast sea blends with the poetic beauty of Dong Ho lagoon village, attracting visitors from the first glance.
According to the Ha Tien City People's Committee, according to the plan, Ha Tien City will develop its space according to a bipolar, unified, and multi-center model. The total urban population of Ha Tien City is expected to be about 224,000 people by 2040, with an urban construction land area of about 4,616 hectares.
The city develops in many directions with the main directions of development based on the development of National Highway 80, National Highway N1, Rach Gia - Ha Tien - Bac Lieu Expressway. At the same time, combined with the unique and diverse geographical location with Dong Ho lagoon, Mui Nai beach, Thach Dong ... is a tourist destination that attracts visitors.

“Ha Tien is a very beautiful tourist destination. I find it very interesting here because there are many delicious dishes, beautiful scenery and especially Mui Nai beach with white sand, clear and clean sea”, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quan - a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City shared.
In addition, Ha Tien cuisine is rich and diverse, with fresh seafood dishes standing out. Visitors can enjoy dishes such as crab noodle soup, grilled squid, and fish salad. These dishes are not only delicious but also have a strong taste of the sea, an indispensable part of the culinary journey here.
Ha Tien is developing community tourism models, creating opportunities for tourists to experience the lives of local people. Tourists can participate in activities such as fishing, visiting fish cage farming models, or exploring traditional crafts such as weaving water coconut leaves.

Mr. Mai Quoc Thang - Chairman of Ha Tien City People's Committee said that tourism plays an important role, contributing to the development of the local economy. Ha Tien is a tourist destination closely associated with the cultural beauty of the local people. The locality owns both sea and island scenery.
To develop tourism, the locality has promoted tourism in many suitable forms; enhanced the image of Ha Tien tourism and promoted unique and attractive traditional products, introduced historical heroes and unique local traditional culture.
In addition, the locality guides businesses and economic sectors to proactively do better in promoting and advertising their own units, in order to expand the market and contribute to improving the effectiveness of promotion through various types of websites, fairs and exhibitions, through traditional festivals and cultural and tourism events.
“The locality continues to promote communication activities, raising awareness among residents and tourists about protecting resources, tourism environment and heritage values. We coordinate with relevant sectors to organize professional courses on hotel management, reception and tour guides… to develop tourism,” said Mr. Thang.

In addition, according to Chairman of Ha Tien City People's Committee Mai Quoc Thang, in the coming time, the city will focus on urban development while ensuring national defense and security, improving competitiveness and expanding regional connectivity, in order to create new growth momentum for the tourism industry.
“Ha Tien also aims to develop into a smart, green and sustainable city with infrastructure and attractive landscapes. At the same time, Ha Tien City will continue to plan tourist areas, promote investment and implement high-end resort, commercial and service tourism projects, creating more products to serve tourists,” said Chairman of Ha Tien City People’s Committee Mai Quoc Thang.
