Ha Tinh hopes the Central Government will soon handle two important issues.

Ha Tinh requested the Government to soon consider a solution related to the Thach Khe iron mine project (Thach Ha) and resolve legal procedures in the infrastructure of Phu Vinh Industrial Park (Ky Anh Town).

On the morning of October 20, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense, member of the Government chaired an online working session with the two provinces of Ha Tinh and Thai Nguyen on the situation of production and business, public investment, infrastructure construction and import and export.

At the working session, General Phan Van Giang and delegates listened to leaders of Ha Tinh and Thai Nguyen provinces report on the production and business situation, public investment, and import-export activities in the area.

In Ha Tinh, in the first 9 months of 2023, economic growth reached 7.68%; total budget revenue reached more than 12,900 billion VND; industrial production recovered positively; agriculture had a good harvest; trade and service activities grew quite well.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha gave an overview of the province's socio-economic situation.

In the first 9 months, nearly 900 new enterprises were established. Export turnover reached 2.1 billion USD, up 60% over the same period. Total social investment capital reached 36,400 billion VND. Disbursement of public investment capital reached 65.7% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister. The province focused on resolving outstanding issues related to land, site clearance, investment, etc.

Regarding the settlement of petitions, based on the report of the working group led by the Minister of National Defense (after the working session with Ha Tinh province on May 10, 2023), the Prime Minister issued Document No. 542/TTg-QHDP dated June 14, 2023 on handling petitions from localities; in which, directing relevant ministries to handle 9 petitions from Ha Tinh province. To date, 8 petitions have been resolved, and 1 petition is being considered and handled by the ministries.

In addition to the above 9 recommendations, Ha Tinh proposes that ministries, departments and branches pay attention to guiding the regular budget allocation for planning work; research, supplement, regulate and provide clearer guidance on regulations related to planning.

Ha Tinh also requested the Government to soon consider a plan to handle the Thach Khe iron ore mining and selection project and resolve problems related to legal procedures for Phu Vinh Industrial Park infrastructure.

At the conference, delegates from central ministries and branches informed about the results of resolving the recommendations of the two localities and gave directions and suggestions for the provinces to study and apply to the actual situation of the localities, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and resolving backlogs and problems.

Concluding the working session, General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense requested the two provinces to focus on completing the tasks of budget collection, disbursement of public investment capital, import-export activities... At the same time, proactively resolve and handle the remaining problems and backlogs of the locality to remove difficulties, promote socio-economic development, and ensure national defense and security in the area.

Ministries, departments and branches continue to pay attention to leading and directing the targets and plans according to assigned functions and tasks; support the two localities to resolve difficulties and problems related to the fields and socio-economic development in general.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Office of the Ministry of National Defense synthesize the opinions and recommendations of the two localities and ministries and branches to promptly report to the Government and the Prime Minister to continue to grasp and direct the settlement according to their authority.
