Exhibition Space: From Resistance and Nation Building to the New Era
The exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Post and Telecommunications sector and the 66th anniversary of the Science and Technology sector attracted thousands of delegates and visitors. A noteworthy detail is that the event took place amidst heavy rain due to the influence of Typhoon Bualoi, but this did not deter the large and solemn participation. This was the largest-scale event since the Ministry of Information and Communications merged with the Ministry of Science and Technology last March.
The ceremony was honored with the presence of General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with many leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, representatives of ministries, sectors, localities, and generations of officials from the sector. The presence of this high-ranking leadership affirmed the special attention and strategic position of the Post and Telecommunications and Science and Technology sectors in the overall development of the country.
The commemorative exhibition space is elaborately designed according to a timeline structure, recreating five historical periods of the country, from the Resistance and Nation Building (1945-1954) to the New Era.
Here, visitors feel as if they are "traveling through time" through a series of outstanding achievements. Historical artifacts associated with the war evoke a deep sense of pride: from the Hugo telegraph machine used to transmit revolutionary orders, to the prototype of the SKZ recoilless rifle researched and manufactured by engineer Tran Dai Nghia. This weapon is not just an artifact but also a symbol of the intelligence and creative spirit of the Vietnamese people during the resistance war.

General Secretary To Lam and Minister Nguyen Manh Hung are viewing the Hugo telegraph machine, a historical artifact used to transmit revolutionary orders and nationwide resistance orders in 1972.

Here, a series of outstanding achievements throughout the development process are displayed, from artifacts associated with wartime such as weapons, telegraphs, and digital telephone exchanges, to modern technological products such as 5G equipment, radar, the Vinasat-1 satellite, and a model of a nuclear reactor.

Notably, the SKZ recoilless rifle prototype, researched and manufactured by engineer Tran Dai Nghia between 1947 and 1949, achieved great success at the Pho Lu battle, contributing to the affirmation of the intelligence and creative spirit of the Vietnamese people during the resistance war.

In particular, the Ministry of Science and Technology dedicated a display area to the important commemorative booklet entitled "Ministry of Science and Technology: Inheriting History, Looking Towards the Future - 80 Years of the Postal and Telecommunications Sector, 66 Years of the Science and Technology Sector". The books were arranged in the shape of the number 80 – symbolizing the historical journey and also an important milestone towards the future.
A moving highlight: Paying tribute to over 10,000 martyrs.

The most special highlight, touching the hearts of the attendees, was the exhibition booth and database on more than 10,000 martyrs of the sector. General Secretary To Lam and Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung consulted this database.
This immense sacrifice confirms that the Postal, Telecommunications, and Science and Technology sectors are the two sectors with the highest number of officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the resistance wars, second only to the Army. This serves as a profound reminder of the price of peace and the silent dedication of previous generations.

In addition, a modern digital museum space also attracts a large number of visitors with digitized data of more than 162,000 officials in the industry throughout different periods, allowing people to look up personal information, colleagues, or industry leaders.
5G and Robotics: Reaffirming their central driving force status.
In addition to reviewing history, the exhibition also showcases modern scientific and technological products, affirming the industry's determination in the new phase.

Viettel's 5G equipment exhibition attracted particular attention, and was praised by General Secretary To Lam as a strategic infrastructure for the economy. This underscores the indispensable role of the industry in creating a foundation for sustainable development.
Other models and products, such as low-emission rice farming models, interactive robots from Misa company, and a set of commemorative stamps marking the 80th anniversary, also contributed to enriching the event.

The rice farming model has low development potential.

General Secretary To Lam experienced a robot integrated with artificial intelligence (AI), directly shaking hands with the modern robotic arm.
The interaction between former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and Minister Nguyen Manh Hung with the robot at the Misa booth demonstrated the readiness of leaders at all levels to embrace and master new technologies.

Leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology pose for a photo with the commemorative stamp set celebrating the 80th anniversary.
With immense responsibilities, the Post and Telecommunications and Science and Technology sectors continue to be identified as the central driving force of national development, especially in the context of the ongoing digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This event is not only a celebration but also a call to arms for the entire sector to continue innovating and creating to move Vietnam forward in the digital age.
