Among the artists, the most interested is G-Dragon - a Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, known as the "King of K-pop", a multi-talented former member and fashion icon of the famous group BigBang. In 2012, G-Dragon visited Vietnam with 4 other members. This year marks his first appearance as a solo artist. In February, G-Dragon released his third studio album Übermensch and organized a world tour of the same name through many Asian countries such as Korea, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand... Currently, the list of destinations is still being updated and fans hope that G-Dragon will bring his personal concert to our country.
Besides G-Dragon, CL (rapper, singer, songwriter) of 2NE1 also received special attention. In the 2010s, BigBang and 2NE1 were the two top K-pop boy and girl groups, so the appearance on the same stage of the two "leaders" was expected to bring an explosive combination. In mid-February, CL and 3 other members also brought 2 Welcome Back shows to Ho Chi Minh City. Before the enthusiastic reception of fans, the Korean female artist used the word "home" when talking about this show and the Vietnamese audience.
The K-Star Spark in Vietnam 2025 concert also features new names such as the boy band Tempest, the girl group tripleS and the male artist DPR Ian. In particular, the group Tempest (with Vietnamese members Hanbin - Ngo Ngoc Hung) held the first concert T-OUR: Tempest Voyage in their career in Ho Chi Minh City and appeared at the Hozo International Music Festival 2023.
The organizers said the concert is expected to welcome 40,000 spectators.
