A series of hotels are being sold to settle debts.

Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ) - Thua Thien-Hue Branch continues to announce the auction of collateral assets which are debts of customers Thanh Trang Company Limited, Viet Trang Beverage Company Limited, Hoang Company Limited. The total outstanding debt of this group of customers at BIDV as of June 26 increased by nearly 3 billion VND compared to April, to 191.58 billion VND, of which the principal outstanding debt is 124.2 billion VND, interest is 67.3 billion VND.

The collateral for this debt includes 4 assets in Hue City. That is, the land use right with an area of ^517m2 and the ownership of the construction on the land is a 4-star hotel with a construction area of ^417.8m2 and a floor area of ^5,850.8m2 . The second asset is the land use right with an area of ^275m2 and the ownership of the construction on the land with a construction area of ^221m2 , floor area of ^1,105m2 . The third is the land use right with an area of ^110m2 at the address of Vy Da Planning Area, Phase 7, Vy Da Ward, Hue City. The last asset is a truck owned by Thanh Trang Company.

Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ) - Quang Ngai Branch also announced the auction of the secured asset, the My Khe resort of Quang Ngai Tourism Joint Stock Company, which increased by more than 9 billion compared to the first sale in August 2022 at a price of 39.8 billion VND. The resort is located on a plot of land of nearly ^3,700m2 - a commercial and service land with a term of use until October 2042. The assets attached to the above plot of land include a 1-storey restaurant area of ^407m2 , a 2-storey restaurant area of ^217m2 , a motel of ^405m2 , a security house of ^19m2 and a restroom area of ^85.7m2 .

Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) - Dong Gia Lai Branch auctions the collateral assets of Hoang Kim Tay Nguyen Group Joint Stock Company (Tay Nguyen Group) to recover debt. The auctioned assets are the entire construction works including Tre Xanh Hotel; Tre Xanh Plaza; parking garage, fence gate and equipment accompanying the construction works at No. 18 Le Lai, Tay Son Ward, Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province. The Tre Xanh Hotel and Restaurant Complex, Tre Xanh Plaza consists of 2 interconnected areas with a total floor area of ^14,339m2 . The starting price for the auction of the assets is 96.1 billion VND.

Previously, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) also announced a list of nearly 400 secured assets that need to be handled with debts worth nearly VND8,000 billion. This list includes many 4-5 star hotels and office buildings worth hundreds of billions of VND. For example, a 5-star hotel in Da Nang, built on an area of over ^1,200m2 , with 236 rooms, is being offered for sale at VND600 billion; two 4-star hotels in Hoi An (Quang Nam) with 98-104 rooms are being offered for sale at the same price of VND420 billion each...
