Thousands of orchid branches are attached to trees at the National Martyrs Cemetery on Route 9.

QTO - From mid-August 2025, the program "Flowers for Martyrs" was officially launched at the National Martyrs Cemetery (NTLS) on Road 9. This activity originated from the idea of ​​a member of the Ong Cham group (Hanoi) and was implemented by a group of volunteers from Quang Tri.

Accordingly, nearly 2,000 Truong Son forest orchids were carefully attached by volunteers to trees in the cemetery grounds.

Ms. Phan Vu Diem Hang, in charge of the Ong Cham group, shared: "This is a very meaningful activity for the martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones for the country, for the land and people of Quang Tri . The project received the response of many people. We hope that after the project is completed, the management board will take good care of the orchids so that they continue to grow well, becoming beautiful flowers to offer to the souls of the martyrs."

The program has received contributions from many organizations and individuals, including members of the Ong Cham group, the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, and the Air Defense - Air Force Command.

It is expected that phase 2 of the project will be implemented at Truong Son National Park with more than 2,000 wild orchid branches.

With the motto of sustainable development and environmental friendliness, the program "Flowers for martyrs" is not only a memorial activity but also a humane project, contributing to beautifying the eternal resting places of heroic martyrs.
