In the 60th minute at Bernabeu, after pushing Myles Lewis-Skelly from behind, Rudiger continued to use his left foot to stomp straight on the young Arsenal talent while blocking the ball.

Slow motion replays clearly show the Real Madrid centre-back's foot hitting Skelly in the abdomen, leaving the Arsenal player lying in pain on the pitch. However, what was even more infuriating was that the referee did not issue a card despite strong reactions from the players and spectators.

The incident quickly spread on social media, with a wave of harsh criticism directed at the referee's decision to ignore it as well as Rudiger's behavior. Many fans called it a "cruel foul that was blatantly ignored".

After Arsenal beat Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate to reach the Champions League semi-finals, Lewis-Skelly posted a picture of Rudiger stepping on his stomach, along with a photo of himself smiling, as a humorous response to the opponent's tackle.

After PSG beat Aston Villa, Arsenal will face the French side in the semi-finals. The first leg is scheduled for April 29. In the other round, Barcelona will face Inter Milan after the two teams defeated Dortmund and Bayern Munich respectively.
