Featuring attractive, world-class international events.

Two millionaires visited Quang Ninh province to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine in Van Don district in February 2025.

According to information from the Department of Tourism , in 2025, Quang Ninh province will organize 24 international, national, and provincial-level programs and events, and nearly 150 local-level programs and events to attract tourists. Some notable programs include: the Ha Long Carnival 2025 (taking place on April 30th and May 1st), the Miss Vietnam Global Beach Pageant 2025 (taking place in May and June), and the art program "Legends of the Heritage Region" (taking place in the second quarter).

In particular, the "Art for Climate Festival - Halong 2025" program, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , will take place in Halong City from February to June 2025 with 20 activities divided into 3 phases covering the fields of culture, art, sports, tourism; environment and investment promotion activities.

This program will create an experience where art and nature coexist harmoniously, inspiring sustainable environmental and climate protection solutions through international exchange forums and community activities. It also provides an opportunity for tourists, especially international visitors, to experience the diverse culture of Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh province in particular. To ensure the successful organization of this program, the Provincial People's Committee has supported and facilitated the event organizers in completing the necessary procedures within the province. In addition, the Provincial People's Committee has worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to obtain guidance on the legal procedures for the event's activities. Furthermore, it has requested the Ministry's departments and divisions to coordinate with the departments, agencies, and localities of Quang Ninh province in directing and guiding the implementation of the "Art for Climate - Ha Long 2025" program.

Besides organizing international-scale events, the tourism industry continues to organize many cultural, sports, and tourism activities and events. In particular, in the second and early third quarters of 2025, programs such as the sports sailing festival, hot air balloon festival, kite festival, and OCOP fair will be held. The number of tourists is expected to increase sharply, concentrated in early May and June, mainly in localities with strong coastal and island tourism potential such as Ha Long, Van Don, Co To, and Mong Cai. Furthermore, in 2025, localities will also actively and proactively organize traditional sports competitions such as boat racing, traditional martial arts, chess, etc., or events associated with the unique cultural characteristics of each region to create highlights and cater to diverse tourist groups.

Along with the proactive efforts of all levels of government, businesses are also striving to develop new and attractive tourism products, thereby extending the length of stay for tourists and improving the quality of services and products. Mr. Luong The Tuyen, Deputy Director of Viet Thuan Transport Co., Ltd., said: "Our two superyachts are currently operating on the 'Heritage Journey' route connecting tourism between Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. With professional and systematic investment, we mainly serve high-end and luxury customers and have received positive feedback from customers and travel agencies both domestically and internationally. This year, we will continue to proactively introduce and promote our products more strongly in the international market, focusing on the high-end segment in Northeast Asia, Europe, and America. At the same time, we will connect with travel agencies specializing in serving billionaires and the super-rich to expand our customer market."

At the beginning of 2025, Quang Ninh welcomed a group of millionaire tourists who experienced a private tour designed to meet stringent requirements regarding itinerary, transportation, and specific areas and activities in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. This was the first group of global millionaires and billionaires to kick off the development and attraction of ultra-luxury tourists to Quang Ninh. In 2025, the tourism industry will strive to invest and attract investment to form an ecosystem and develop luxury and ultra-luxury tourism products. Simultaneously, it will intensify promotional programs abroad; work with and sign cooperation agreements with reputable domestic and international travel businesses; and organize visits for international travel businesses and journalists to survey and promote tourism in Quang Ninh. Developing tourism programs and product packages to serve tourists… From there, we are determined to achieve the goal of attracting 20 million tourists, including 4.5 million international tourists, generating 55,000 billion VND in tourism revenue, making a positive contribution to the overall growth of the province.
