Harry Kane scored a hat-trick to help Bayern Munich beat Stuttgart 3-0 in the German Cup final, completing a domestic double in the 2025-2026 season.

On the morning of May 24th, Harry Kane scored a hat-trick in the German Cup (DFB-Pokal) final, helping Bayern Munich defeat Stuttgart 3-0. Along with winning the Bundesliga title in April, Vincent Kompany's team concluded the season with a domestic double.

The English striker scored all three goals in the second half. Kane opened the scoring in the 54th minute with a precise header from a Michael Olise cross.

In the 79th minute, after a shot from outside the penalty area hit the post, Kane quickly regained possession, turned inside the box, and fired a diagonal shot past the opposing goalkeeper.

In injury time, the 32-year-old striker completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Angelo Stiller of Stuttgart handled the ball in the penalty area.

This treble brings Harry Kane's total goals this season to 61 in 51 appearances across all competitions. This includes 36 in the Bundesliga, 14 in the Champions League, and 10 in the DFB-Pokal. Since joining Bayern in the summer of 2023, Kane has scored 146 goals in just 147 appearances.

Harry Kane became the fourth player to score a hat-trick in a DFB-Pokal final, following Uwe Seeler (Hamburg) in 1963, Roland Wohlfarth (Bayern Munich) in 1986, and Robert Lewandowski (Dortmund) in 2012.

Last November, Kane stated that the possibility of him leaving Bayern at the end of the season was "very unlikely." Earlier this year, sporting director Max Eberl also confirmed that the club was negotiating a new contract with the striker.

Speaking to Sky Sports Germany, the England captain said that talks would resume after the season and things were still very positive.

“It’s not the time to talk much about the future, but there’s nothing to worry about. We’ll continue to talk after the season, and there’s still the World Cup ahead. Everyone knows how happy I am playing here. Everything is going very well,” the English striker said.

The day before, coach Thomas Tuchel announced the 26-player England squad for the 2026 World Cup. Harry Kane was once again given the captain's armband for the tournament taking place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
