This is author Quynh Le's latest Tet (Lunar New Year) book, following her bestselling book "Tet is the Best". The book is suitable for both children and adults, evoking nostalgia and feelings of family.

"A Sweet Tet Rendezvous" begins with an innocent yet poignant question from a child separated from their parents: "Where does Tet come from?" From there, the story leads the reader through the flow of the four seasons – spring, summer, autumn, and winter – with the changes in nature, crops, and rural life.
In the gentle stories told by her grandmother, Tet (Lunar New Year) emerges not just as a date on the calendar, but as the culmination of time, anticipation, and cherished love, all culminating in reunions.
The book is told through gentle verses, evoking many moments of emotional quiet reflection. The illustrations utilize a warm color palette, combining crayon and colored pencil strokes to create a rustic, intimate atmosphere, reminiscent of familiar memories of Vietnamese rural life. The entire color scheme and printing process was meticulously adjusted to ensure consistent color tones and visual appeal on every page.

Besides the main content, "A Sweet Tet Holiday Rendezvous" also includes a special appendix with 4 pages of instructions on making Tet jams (coconut jam, ginger jam), along with a page showcasing familiar jams in Vietnamese family life.
Sharing their thoughts on the book, a representative from Crabit Kidbooks stated: “We hope that ‘A Sweet Tet Rendezvous’ is not only for children, but also a book that adults can read slowly with their children, reminiscing about past memories and realizing that what makes Tet special is family.”
“A Sweet Tet Holiday Rendezvous” is part of Crabit Kidbooks’ long-term vision, which is to develop Vietnamese children's publications with in-depth content, respecting children's emotions, and opening up a space for subtle dialogue between generations within the family.
