Green Living Leaders is a reality TV show that spreads the spirit of green living and actions to reduce emissions in daily life, targeting primarily Generation Z, especially university students nationwide. This is part of the "Leading Green Living - Opening a Sustainable Future" campaign, aiming to reduce 300 million tons of CO2 emissions by 2050 and achieve net emissions of zero by 2030.
With the goal of spreading environmental awareness and changing daily habits to minimize negative impacts on nature, the production team has created a reality TV show model that is both entertaining and realistically portrays the environmental impact of young people's lifestyles.
Throughout the Green Living Leaders program, six students from the following universities participated: Van Hien University, University of Foreign Languages - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho University, University of Law - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Vin University. They are all dynamic and individualistic Gen Z youth, sharing a common desire to create groundbreaking ideas aimed at a sustainable green lifestyle, making positive contributions to the community and the environment.
Each episode of Green Living Leaders is designed around a specific theme: "Eat Green," "Dress Green," and "Live Green," thereby delivering a practical and accessible green living message to young people.
Miss H'Hen Niê is accompanying the program.
The program presents a challenge in each episode, with 6 contestants divided into teams depending on the task for each episode. Each team is provided with a CO2 supply throughout the rounds. The team with the highest CO2 supply wins. The person with the lowest balance in their account at the end of the program will win and become the champion of "Green Living Leader".
The program, held in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tien Giang, attracted thousands of students, creating a highlight with its experiential nature and practical impact. The large-scale Green Festivals attracted the attention of students and young people, from interactive points and gift-exchange booths to stages for interaction with guest speakers, thereby inspiring a green lifestyle for Gen Z.
The program features reputable experts in the fields of environment, sustainable fashion, and green cuisine. They will support, provide knowledge and solutions for environmental protection, and guide and evaluate the contestants.
