Hemp Journey is not just a fashion show but also a lifestyle project, a panoramic picture of the identity, ecology and beauty of the weaving craft in Vietnam. This is a unique combination of artists and artisans, culture and community. In particular, after the fashion show, the project will have a charity activity: building a chain of cooperatives and hemp weaving community houses for the Mong people in San Seo Ty village (Khau Vai commune, Tuyen Quang province).
Miss H'Hen Niê will take on the role of Co-Creator, directly participating in the process of conceptualizing the Camellia collection. With an ethnic minority background and experience from many volunteer trips to mountainous areas, H'Hen Niê deeply understands the value of handmade cultural products, where people put their dreams and feelings into each piece of fabric. "Hen sympathizes with the story and goals that the Hemp Journey project is aiming for, which is not only the mission of building more traditional weaving cooperatives but also the preservation and conservation of the culture of ethnic minorities everywhere in our country," she shared.
Meanwhile, Xuan Hanh will be the ambassador accompanying the Hemp Journey project throughout. Since being crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, Xuan Hanh has always actively spread the message of preserving national culture, inspiring humane living and appreciating sustainable values.
The Camellia collection will be presented at a fashion show within the framework of the Hemp Journey project on August 2 at Mia Saigon Luxury Boutique (HCMC). Besides H'Hen Nie and Xuan Hanh, the program will also feature runner-up Hoang Nhung, runner-up Quynh Anh, and runner-up Do Cam Ly.
