Power workers restore power grid in flooded areas after storm No. 13.
Currently, 15,879 customers in the two most heavily affected areas, Gia Lai and Dak Lak, are being urgently handled by power units, striving to complete restoration today.
On the medium voltage grid, EVNCPC has restored 392/468 incidents, reaching a rate of 83.76%. The entire system has 19,281/19,563 distribution transformer stations that have been restored to power, reaching 98.56%, only 282 stations (0.49%) are still being processed. The unrestored capacity is estimated at 30.6 MW, equivalent to 0.8% of the maximum load in the entire Central Highlands region.
In Gia Lai , Gia Lai Electricity Company has restored 135/208 incidents, restoring power to more than 98.7% of customers, while losing power to about 12,355 customers (1.27%) and 243 transformer stations (2.1%).
In Dak Lak, Dak Lak Electricity Company has restored 110/113 incidents, restoring power to 99.5% of customers, with only 4,861 customers (0.51%) and 53 transformer stations (0.5%) being repaired.
Thanks to the total mobilization of over 2,800 officers, engineers, workers, machinery, materials and equipment from member Power Companies, Central Power Service Company and the coordination of local authorities, EVNCPC quickly restored most of the load after the storm, ensuring stable power supply for production and people's daily life.
Currently, some low-lying areas, remote areas, where there is still water or the lines behind the customer's meter are damaged, cannot be safely energized. EVNCPC recommends that people proactively check the electrical system in their homes for damage or at risk of peeling and causing short circuits. Immediately contact the hotline 19001909 of the Central Power Customer Care Center to receive timely support from the electricity industry to fix the problem.
EVNCPC also directed units to strengthen propaganda on electrical safety, use software to warn of sudden output to promptly detect the risk of short circuits, ensuring safety for people when using electricity after natural disasters such as storms and floods.
