However, a big surprise happened when Truong Vinh Hien scored 10 points in a row to win 11/6, thereby winning 2-1 against Jack Wong. Youth, perseverance, effort in each shot and the desire to conquer helped the 21-year-old tennis player from Ho Chi Minh City create an impressive comeback.

By eliminating No. 1 seed Jack Wong in the quarterfinals, Truong Vinh Hien became a strong candidate to compete for the title of professional men's singles champion of the Melbourne Pickleball Cup. In the semi-finals, he faced Jimmy Liong (Malaysia).
In addition to Truong Vinh Hien, another Vietnamese pickleball player, Ly Hoang Nam, also competed successfully, winning the right to enter the semi-finals after an easy 2-0 victory (11/3, 11/3) over Louis Laville (England). Hoang Nam's opponent in the semi-finals is Theo Platel (France).
