Intensive training program for Vietnamese sports
This is a specialized sports nutrition training program taught directly by Dr. Julián Álvarez García – a member of the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board. During the two training days (November 15 and 17), students will have access to the most updated scientific knowledge on applied nutrition in sports, designed for athletes, coaches, doctors and sports experts – those who directly create achievements for the country's sports.
Dr. Julián Álvarez García is a Sports Medicine and Sports Nutrition expert with over 20 years of experience advising national teams, Olympic athletes and many prestigious international clubs. He is currently a member of the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board - a group of leading experts in the field of applied nutrition and sports medicine worldwide.

Dr. Julián Álvarez, nutrition expert from Herbalife, will lead two intensive training sessions at VFF and VOC
According to the representative of the organizing committee, the course does not stop at sharing theory, but aims to build a foundation of in-depth nutritional knowledge, helping athletes, coaches and sports doctors to understand correctly, apply correctly, thereby spreading international standard knowledge to training centers across the country.
The importance of scientific nutrition
In the context of world sports moving towards comprehensive training, scientific nutrition has become a "strategic weapon" to help athletes optimize performance, shorten recovery time and prevent injuries. In countries with developed sports, sports nutrition is always placed on par with factors such as physical strength and tactics.
However, in Vietnam, this field is still relatively new. Many athletes and coaches are not equipped with in-depth knowledge on how to build a menu, allocate energy or choose the right food for each training stage.
Therefore, this training program is meant as a "global knowledge bridge", helping Vietnamese sports get closer to modern nutritional training standards being applied in many leading countries in the world.

The course will focus on three core topics: analyzing nutritional needs for each training phase, recovery strategies and competition energy management, and methods for building a personalized nutrition regimen based on each athlete's physical condition and competition position.
Through these contents, the program helps the coaching team and sports doctors improve their professional capacity, access modern nutritional methods, thereby supporting athletes to achieve high performance and maintain stable physical strength throughout the season.
“Proper nutrition not only helps athletes perform at their peak, but also protects their health and prolongs their careers,” emphasizes Dr. Julián Álvarez. “Sustainable sport starts with understanding your body and taking care of it properly.”
Reaffirming Herbalife's commitment to accompany Vietnamese sports
The training program is part of a long-term partnership between Herbalife, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC). Since 2012, Herbalife has been the Official Nutrition Partner of VOC, and from 2021, it will become a long-term partner with VFF.
Herbalife is currently the nutrition partner of more than 150 global sports teams, athletes and events, including Cristiano Ronaldo, LA Galaxy and many national teams in Europe, Latin America and Asia. This extensive network of partnerships helps Herbalife continuously update and share the latest research in the field of sports nutrition, bringing international standards closer to Vietnam.

With practical and sustainable cooperation programs, Herbalife is increasingly strengthening its role alongside Vietnamese sports to build a generation of "durable - healthy - professional" athletes, ready to conquer new heights.
