Quang Tri: Improving human resources, expanding opportunities for tourism development in the province

On November 13, the Quang Tri Tourism Association and Phu Xuan University signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in training, human resource development and promotion of Quang Tri tourism destinations. The agreement is considered an important step to create a solid human resource foundation for the breakthrough phase of the province's tourism industry.

The Bach Xanh rocky mountain area in the core zone of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is put into tourism exploitation.

Accordingly, the two sides will coordinate in tourism training, connecting businesses and schools, organizing seminars, building internship programs for students as well as promoting the image of Quang Tri on the media platforms of Phu Xuan University.

Activities are carried out in the spirit of voluntariness and equality, aiming at practical and long-term benefits for the local tourism industry.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of Quang Tri Tourism Association emphasized: “Quang Tri is strongly developing community tourism, green tourism and historical experiences. To meet new demands, high-quality human resources are the key factor. Cooperating with Phu Xuan University helps us to supplement a young team with knowledge, skills and a desire to stay with the locality.”

Training on behavioral and communication skills in modern tourism

Mr. Pham Quy Sy, Director of Arem Tourism Joint Stock Company shared: “Our unit is implementing the Bach Xanh Nui Da and Hang Kling eco-tourism project, so we will face many difficulties in recruiting tour guides and operating staff. The school sending students to intern, practice and receive training according to practical needs will help significantly reduce retraining costs, while creating a stable workforce for long-term business development.”

Representatives of Phu Xuan University also affirmed their readiness to deploy professional training courses, improve skills and send students to practice in Quang Tri, contributing to strengthening regional connectivity and supplementing quality human resources for the market.

The cooperation agreement is valid until December 2028, expected to create new momentum for Quang Tri tourism to move towards professionalism and sustainability, while expanding job opportunities for students and strengthening the connection between businesses - schools - associations in the process of tourism development.
