Phu Tho: Tourism professional training in 2025

On November 12-13, at the Tam Dao Tourist Area, Tam Dao commune, Phu Tho province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a tourism professional training course for officials and employees of tourism service businesses and establishments in the province.

During the training course, participants received instruction from lecturers at Hanoi Tourism College on three key topics related to tourism operations: tourism accommodation business; relevant regulations concerning tourism accommodation business activities; and management and supervision of tourism accommodation business activities. Alongside theory, participants also received practical training in essential professional skills such as reception, housekeeping, bartending, bar service, community tourism organization, and culinary arts – elements that contribute to a complete tourist experience. Furthermore, the training course focused on introducing new criteria for green tourism, building green hotels; methods for protecting, managing, and sustainably utilizing environmental resources; and the application of digital technology in tourism promotion and operation.

Through this training course, participants have the opportunity to update their professional knowledge, grasp the development trends of the industry in the era of integration; hone their in-depth professional skills, from welcoming, serving, and caring for customers to managing and operating accommodation facilities in a professional and modern way; and cultivate soft skills such as communication, presentation, problem-solving, and emotional control, helping employees improve their professional demeanor and behave in a civilized and friendly manner towards tourists.

The training course also provides an opportunity for tourism businesses to network, share experiences, and form linkages for diverse and high-quality product and service chains. This not only helps businesses strengthen their competitive advantages and innovate their products and services, but also contributes to enhancing the image of local tourism as more professional, civilized, and attractive to domestic and international tourists.
