Hanoi has a female Chairwoman of the City People's Council

On the afternoon of November 13, the Hanoi People's Council dismissed Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan from the position of Chairman of the City People's Council. Mr. Tuan did not meet the age requirement for re-election.

The Hanoi People's Council also elected Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Council, as Chairwoman of the City People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha was born on May 1, 1971. Hometown: Ung Hoa commune, Hanoi city.

She has a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Finance and Banking.
