Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung presents gifts to households affected by floods in Hue

Visiting households in Huong Thuy ward, the Deputy Prime Minister kindly inquired about their health and family circumstances; and encouraged the families to quickly overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

On the evening of November 13, Party Central Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung visited and presented gifts to households in Huong Thuy ward, Hue city affected by recent floods.

Inquiring about the flood and damage situation in the locality, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung highly appreciated the flood response work of Huong Thuy ward authorities and noted that the weather situation will continue to be complicated in the coming time. Therefore, local authorities need to soon have a proactive plan to care for and protect people's lives and quickly overcome and support people to stabilize their lives after the impact of floods.

Visiting households in Luong Hau and Luong Xuan residential groups (Huong Thuy ward), the Deputy Prime Minister kindly inquired about their health and family circumstances; and encouraged the families to quickly overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung hoped that people would strive to overcome their circumstances to live a useful life for society and contribute to their homeland and country.

Here, the Deputy Prime Minister also presented support gifts to two households: Ms. Pham Thi Thuy (Luong Hau residential group) and Mr. Vo Viet Quang (Luong Xuan residential group).

Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City Phan Thien Dinh sincerely thanked Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung in particular and the Party and State in general for their concern and encouragement towards the local people. This concern and sharing is a great source of encouragement, adding confidence and determination for the people of Hue to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives after the natural disaster.

The city is committed to continuing to implement solutions to overcome the consequences of floods and storms, ensuring safety for people, restoring production and stabilizing long-term livelihoods; at the same time promoting the spirit of solidarity and mutual love, so that no one is left behind in the recovery journey after storms and floods.

Luong Hau and Luong Xuan residential groups, Huong Thuy ward, located along the Dai Giang river, are low-lying areas that are often isolated for long periods by floods. Faced with complicated weather conditions, local authorities have developed plans to respond to floods and evacuate people to safety.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung presented 25 gifts to the People's Committee of Huong Thuy Ward to support other households affected by floods./.
