On November 13, 2025, at the 27th session (special session), the Hanoi People's Council, term XVI, 2021-2026, elected Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council, term 2021-2026./.
