The cultural industry is about to have its own song.

The songwriting contest about the culture, sports and tourism sector takes place from November 13 to December 15, to honor the cultural values and national identity of those who have contributed to Vietnamese culture. The closing and award ceremony is expected to take place on December 31 in Hanoi .

The cultural industry promotes melodies that carry the aspiration for integration.

Contestants include professional and amateur musicians, Vietnamese or foreigners living, studying and working in Vietnam; organizations, individuals, music lovers, those with the ability to compose music...; the genres of songs in the contest are expanded from chamber music, light music, contemporary folk, pop, jazz, rock, pop and performance forms from solo to group. The number is unlimited, the works must be new, unpublished compositions, with clear lyrics, beautiful melodies, easy to remember, reflecting the spirit and aspirations of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in the new era.

It is expected that there will be 1 first prize worth 50 million VND, 2 second prizes (25 million VND/prize), 3 third prizes (15 million VND/prize) and 5 consolation prizes (10 million VND/prize). In addition, high-quality works can be selected as the official song of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the near future.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said that during nearly 80 years of formation and development, the culture, sports and tourism sector has become one of the important pillars contributing to the spiritual, physical and soul of the nation. From the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees, artists to athletes and workers, all are making efforts to spread the image of a friendly, dynamic and creative Vietnam to the world .

The Deputy Minister also emphasized the wish to receive "many rich and diverse works, from traditional folk sounds to youthful, modern compositions, reflecting the desire for innovation and integration in the new period.

The winning songs will be popularized and performed at major events, spreading the spirit of "solidarity - creativity - development", towards a "common song" - a symbol of those working in the fields of culture, sports and tourism in the integration era.

The competition aims at many goals: to promote the image and role of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in the cause of building and developing the country; to arouse pride, sense of responsibility and love for the profession among cadres, artists and athletes.
