
Through fundraising activities to support the provision of books and equipment, improve reading spaces, and connect with social resources, many free libraries have been put into use, effectively serving the reading, research, and learning needs of the people. In recent times, localities and units have actively implemented many accompanying activities such as: connecting with student clubs from the same hometown, volunteer teams and groups, and businesses to mobilize donations of books and equipment; focusing on allocating locations in village cultural centers, community centers, and schools to facilitate access for the people; actively organizing many practical activities such as: Book reading festivals, book exchange and introduction events, and guidance on effective reading skills for students...; models such as: Libraries for children, youth libraries, green libraries, school book collections... have been built and replicated. This contributes to building a healthy and friendly learning environment and gradually spreading a love of reading in the community.
To improve the spiritual life of the people and develop a reading culture, in 2022, with the support of Tan Viet Culture and Education Joint Stock Company, the Nhan Ly village cultural house in Viet Yen commune was renovated and upgraded to become a model community reading space with over 4,000 books categorized by topics in history, philosophy, law, art, literature, economics , education, etc. Since the establishment of this community reading space, Mr. Nguyen Dang Manh and many other villagers regularly visit the village cultural house to read and exchange knowledge. Mr. Manh happily stated: "The abundant books, suitable for all ages, provide me and many other villagers with a very meaningful place for activities. Building a community reading space is very practical, especially for educating children in modern life. I fully agree with and support it."
Visiting the Mai Vien village library in Hiep Cuong commune on a summer afternoon, one can easily spot numerous students attentively reading books and stories in the quiet, airy space. Currently, the village library has over 300 books, basically meeting the reading needs of the local people. Comrade Pham Tuan Viet, Party Secretary and Head of Mai Vien village, said: In the coming time, the village will continue to promote social mobilization, encouraging organizations and individuals to donate books to add more new titles, gradually improving the effectiveness of the library's operations and better serving the needs of the people.

At Cong Hoa Primary School in Ngu Thien commune, the "Green Library Bookcase" model has become a highlight in developing a reading culture for students. The bookcase is located in the schoolyard, under the shade of trees, creating a friendly and welcoming reading space. With a wide variety of books such as children's stories, life skills books, and reference books, the bookcase attracts many students to read during recess and after school. In addition, the school regularly adds new books, keeps them neatly organized and easy to find, and integrates reading activities into extracurricular activities, fostering a reading habit among the students.
To ensure the effectiveness of free libraries and to further develop a reading culture within the community, in the coming period, localities in the province will continue to connect with and mobilize social resources to expand library models, gradually developing digital libraries; promote awareness of the meaning and benefits of reading; and regularly inspect and guide facilities to effectively implement regulations and rules to develop the reading movement, improve public knowledge, quality of life, and education ... This will contribute to the formation and development of more library models and reading spaces in the area.
