Ea Sup Thuong Lake conducts spillover

Due to heavy rain and forecast to continue, large water flow into the lake, Ea Sup Irrigation Branch ( Dak Lak Irrigation Works Management Company Limited) has proceeded to spill water to Ea Sup Thuong Lake.

Specifically, according to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from September 18 to September 19, the Central Highlands region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 40 - 80 mm, in some places over 150 mm.

Currently, the water level in Ea Sup Thuong Lake is at 215.48 m, the water flow to the lake is about 130 m3/s. To ensure the safety of the project and the downstream area, this lake has been regulated through the spillway since the afternoon of September 18 with a flow of 50 - 110 m3/s.

The reservoir management unit will open two spillways. Therefore, people in the downstream area need to take the initiative to prevent damage to people and property.
