Support 5 million VND per month for staff specializing in digital transformation

(Quang Ngai Newspaper) - The Government has just issued Decree No. 179/2025 stipulating a support level of VND 5 million per month for people working in digital transformation, network information security and network security.

This support applies to cadres, civil servants, public employees, officers, professional soldiers and armed forces from central to communal levels, to encourage and recognize the contributions of specialized teams. The support money will be paid together with the salary period, not used to calculate social insurance and health insurance contributions and will be applied until the salary policy reform is implemented according to new regulations.

The Decree also clearly stipulates cases in which support is not available if the employee is on unpaid leave, suspended from work, or not holding a full-time position for one month or more. This Decree officially takes effect from August 15, 2025, contributing to promoting the digital transformation process and ensuring national cybersecurity.
