The upcoming La Passione concert will feature the voices of Hien Nguyen and Quoc Dat. The concert was previously successfully held in Hanoi in March 2024, and Ho Chi Minh City is the next destination on the concert tour of these two artists, before bringing La Passione to perform in Italy in July 2024.
Hien Nguyen and Quoc Dat will perform in the upcoming La Passione concert.
As planned, the event will hold a press conference on June 11, with the participation of Mr. Enrico Padula, Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, and simultaneously introduce the two singers Hien Nguyen and Quoc Dat; along with the participation of international pianist - Professor Gianni Kriscak from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Austria) - a guest artist performing in the upcoming La Passione concert.
La Passione includes a collection of classic arias from around the world and Vietnamese lyrical songs. Wishing to praise the beauty of music and love of life in the Italian opera heritage, La Passione will delve deeper into classical chamber music in part one and classical fusion in part two such as pop and smooth jazz.
Also in this event, the Organizing Committee will introduce the research book History of Italian Opera (Part 1) by the authors: Professor Gianni Kriscak (editor-in-chief), Nguyen Thi Hien, Trinh Thi Oanh. The book is compiled in a professional direction, introducing Italian chamber music from the early period to the 18th century.
Consul General of Italy Enrico Padula shared: "This musical event is an important testament to the cultural ties between Vietnam and Italy. Music, in addition to being an art form, is also a powerful means of connection, especially in the context of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City - an agency representing the long-standing deep connection between Italy and Vietnam and much more."
