The cleanup of Nguyen Hue flower street has been completed.

The Tet Flower Street for the Year of the Horse 2026 officially closed after 8 days of serving visitors and celebrating the Lunar New Year. Hundreds of workers busied themselves cleaning up throughout the night to return the area to Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.

On the night of February 22nd (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), the 2026 Year of the Horse Tet Flower Street entered the dismantling phase after 8 days of serving the public and tourists. The area was quickly cordoned off with security barriers, and the construction work proceeded urgently and busily. By 0:10 AM, the large-scale "Ly Ngua O" (Horse Ly) display – one of the highlights of this year's Nguyen Hue Flower Street – had been completely dismantled.

The workers were assigned specific shifts and tasks: some collected ornamental plants, others dismantled the metal frames, and still others transported materials onto specialized vehicles, coordinating seamlessly to meet deadlines.

The potted plants and ornamental trees are carefully sorted before being removed from the flower street. Those that are still in good condition will be transported to parks and green spaces in Ho Chi Minh City to continue serving the public after Tet.

Motorized vehicles and electricity workers from the Ho Chi Minh City Public Lighting Company were busy dismantling the lighting system for the flower street, with many specialized electrical devices being transported overnight.

The large-scale miniature and large-scale landscapes are processed and divided into smaller parts by workers for easier transportation.

The large-scale "Nine-Maned Red Horse" sculpture, standing 6.4 meters tall and inspired by the legend of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh, has also been dismantled.

The areas were divided into smaller sections for simultaneous construction to ensure progress, safety, and minimize impact on traffic.

The cleanup work was carried out urgently. By 6:00 AM on February 23rd, the entire area of ​​Nguyen Hue Street had been restored to its original condition.

Many large-scale scenes such as "A Horse Galloping Leisurely," "Lantern Procession," "Nine-Maned Horse," etc., took a long time to dismantle.

The 2026 Lunar New Year Flower Street marks 23 years of successful organization, serving a total of over 26 million visitors. This year alone, the Flower Street space welcomed over 1.8 million visitors to admire and enjoy the scenery.

According to the organizers, the Saint Giong horse mascot at the entrance gate and the "Beautiful Landscape" display will be kept until 9 PM on March 22nd (exactly one month from the closing ceremony).
