Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy said that the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control was passed by the National Assembly on November 14, 11 at the 2022th Session of the 4th National Assembly.
To promptly and effectively implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, it is necessary to carry out many related tasks such as developing legal documents detailing the contents assigned in the Law; Organize propaganda and dissemination of legal education on the contents of the Law to agencies, organizations and units; Develop propaganda materials and instructions for implementing the provisions of the Law.
“These are tasks that fall under the responsibility of ministries, branches and localities. The implementation process requires close coordination with relevant agencies and organizations. Therefore, to ensure timely, consistent, and effective implementation of the Law, it is necessary to specifically identify work contents, deadlines, completion progress, presiding responsibilities, and coordination responsibilities. of relevant agencies and organizations in organizing and implementing the Law.
The promulgation of the Prime Minister's Decision on the Plan to implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence is necessary to clearly define the responsibilities of agencies, organizations and units" - Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy said.
Therefore, at the meeting, the Deputy Minister expected representatives of relevant ministries and branches to review the draft Plan, and at the same time, based on the functions and tasks of the ministries and branches, have comments and suggestions. so that the Plan is close to reality.
Reported at the meeting, according to the Family Department, after the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control was passed by the National Assembly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presided and coordinated with ministries, branches and agencies. related to developing a draft Decision of the Prime Minister promulgating the Plan to implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence.
On August 21, 8, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Official Dispatch No. 2023/BVHTTDL-GD on commenting on the draft Decision of the Prime Minister promulgating the Plan to implement the Law on Chambers and against domestic violence sent to relevant ministries and branches. Up to now, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has received comments from 3496 agencies, of which 10 agencies completely agreed with the draft Plan, 04 agencies agreed to promulgate the Plan and have comments and additions.
Through synthesis of opinions, ministries and branches basically agree with the content of the draft Law Implementation Plan. Based on comments, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has received, revised and completed the draft Decision to submit to the Prime Minister.
At the meeting, representatives of ministries and branches highly appreciated the development of the draft Plan to implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence. Based on the practices of ministries and branches, delegates contributed specific opinions in assigning tasks and changing words to be more appropriate.
Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy requested the standing agency to develop a draft Plan to receive comments, edit and complete the Plan to submit to the Government for promulgation this year./.
