Pilot training fees exceed 3 billion VND.

The Vietnam Aviation Academy is launching, for the first time, two integrated university training programs offering professional certificates in flight attendant and pilot training. Notably, the total tuition and training costs for pilots amount to over 3 billion VND.

Two integrated programs offering professional certifications for flight attendants and pilots.

In 2025, the Vietnam Aviation Academy will recruit over 4,600 students (an increase of approximately 1,100 compared to last year). Admission methods include: direct admission; admission based on high school graduation exam scores; admission based on 12th-grade academic transcripts; admission based on aptitude test scores; and admission based on international SAT/ACT/IB certificates.

Notably, this year, for the first time, the Vietnam Aviation Academy is opening a specialized major in flight management and operations that integrates pilot training, recruiting 30 students and guaranteeing job placement upon graduation.

The training academy collaborates with the Vietnam Pilot School and other flight schools in the Czech Republic, South Africa, and the United States. Graduates will receive a degree in Flight Operations Management Engineering and a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) from foreign partners, valid both in Vietnam and internationally.

In addition to the general requirements, candidates must pass a pilot's health check and meet standards for height, weight, appearance, communication skills, and background.

In addition, the Vietnam Aviation Academy officially launched a flight attendant training program under the Aviation Commercial Service Management major (major code 7810103A). Students study over 8 semesters, combining training in commercial, service, tourism , and aviation knowledge with professional training according to international ATO (Approved Training Organization) standards.

Graduates receive a Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management and an ATO (Authorized Officer) certificate as an airline cabin crew member.

Tuition fees for each major

The Vietnam Aviation Academy has announced its projected tuition fees for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Vietnamese-language program in Flight Operations Management and Aviation Engineering will cost 18.5 million VND per semester (15 credits). Tuition for other programs will be 15.5 million VND per semester. English-language programs will cost 1.3 times more than Vietnamese-language programs. Tuition fee increases will not exceed 10% annually.

Tuition fees for the two integrated vocational certificate programs include tuition and vocational training costs. For the Flight Management and Operations major, the tuition is 18.5 million VND per semester, plus pilot training costs, totaling over 3 billion VND.

For the Aviation Commercial Service Management program, students pursuing a ground service aviation staff certificate will be charged an additional 15 million VND for the entire course; students pursuing a flight attendant aviation staff certificate will be charged an additional 45 million VND for the entire course.

Eligibility requirements

The Vietnam Aviation Academy has announced the admission requirements for the integrated flight management and operations major for pilot training. Requirement 1 is successful admission to a regular university program in flight management and operations.

Condition 2 requires meeting all pilot candidate standards. Specifically, this includes: age 18-32; height 1.65m or taller for men, 1.60m or taller for women; weight 54kg or heavier for men, 48kg or heavier for women. A balanced physique, no deformities, and a pleasant appearance. Good communication skills, confident and assertive, fluent in spoken and written Vietnamese, without stuttering or lisping. A clear personal and family background, with no criminal record. Meeting health standards group 1/group 2 as stipulated by the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority. Candidates with any of the following conditions are ineligible to become pilots: color blindness, vestibular disorders, or congenital cardiovascular disease.

Regarding the tourism and travel service management program and the ATO flight attendant certification, a representative from the Vietnam Aviation Academy stated that the program is suitable for candidates who enjoy a dynamic environment, have a pleasant appearance, good health, and wish to develop in the high-end aviation, tourism, and service sector.
