In recent days, social media has been abuzz with a post from a girl who claims to have spent time getting to know and talking to rapper Obito (real name Ly Quoc Phong).
According to this person, at the time Obito was messaging her to get to know her, he was still living with his ex-girlfriend Vstra (Hanh Ngan).
Rapper Obito speaks out after being accused of still living with his ex while dating someone new.
On the evening of July 30th, Obito's representative spoke out to clarify the related information. The representative stated that Obito and Vstra had broken up at the beginning of the year.
They informed both teams in March. However, both teams agreed not to release the news to social media or the press. Obito also shared this with the girl he was dating.
At that time, Obito had a packed work schedule and was constantly traveling, while Vstra was in Hanoi and traveling abroad with his family. Therefore, the two were unable to meet to move their belongings out of their shared residence.
Additionally, due to issues with their rental contract and the need to find a new place, the two only officially moved into their own apartment at the end of May.
Obito was once Binz's student on Rap Viet.
Regarding his new relationship, Obito's side confirmed that the rapper, born in 2001, began dating someone new on April 7th, which is after his breakup with his previous girlfriend.
Obito's team revealed that the girl Obito recently met is 18 years old, currently a student studying abroad in Toronto, and was visiting Vietnam at the time.
However, after some time talking and getting to know each other, Obito asked to end the relationship to maintain privacy and because he felt unsafe about his private information being revealed or disseminated.
"There were phrases in private messages, like the nickname Obito often used when messaging the girl he was dating, that went viral. Obito took screenshots of those comments, sent them to her, and asked to end the relationship."
"Because the time wasn't right to establish and publicly announce this new romantic relationship, information has already been leaked on social media," Obito's team stated.
Following the incident, Binz's student apologized to Vstra and the audience for being disturbed by the recent news.
Obito and Vstra's love story was once supported by many people.
Later that evening, Vstra's representatives also spoke out. The singer's side stated that after the breakup, Vstra had planned to arrange a new place to live, but due to contractual issues, deposit payments, finding a new house, and family matters, the move was interrupted. This decision was due to work and financial reasons, not related to feelings.
Vstra has not issued any statement regarding their relationship or Obito's private life.
"All information regarding Vstra's alleged influence and disapproval of Obito's and other individuals' private lives is baseless, untrue, and subjective, negatively impacting Vstra's morale and image," the singer's representative emphasized.
Obito, born in 2001, whose real name is Ly Quoc Phong, participated in the second season of Rap Viet in 2021 and joined coach Binz's team. He previously had a three-year relationship with singer Vstra.
Vstra, born in 2001, whose real name is Nguyen Thi Hanh Ngan, is known for her songs "Wait for me" and "Internet love".
