Artist Bich Thuy
On the morning of May 31st, artist and businesswoman Bich Thuy continued her program of giving gifts to 500 poor people in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate Buddha's Birthday. These practical gifts were handed directly to the recipients as a way of sharing with those facing difficult circumstances in life. For Bich Thuy, this is not just a temporary activity, but a part of the charitable journey she has maintained for many years.
Bearing a vast artistic legacy as the ninth daughter of the late musician Bac Son, artist and businesswoman Bich Thuy has chosen her own path: not standing in her father's shadow, but quietly continuing the values he left behind.

Over a thousand performances by the Bac Son Love Song Troupe
Charitable trips to remote areas, programs for workers, the elderly, patients, or disadvantaged children… these are the journeys that artist Bich Thuy has quietly undertaken for many years to repay her debt of gratitude to music and life.
This year, as she turns sixty, looking back on sixty years of her life and more than three decades of dedication to the business world, Bich Thuy's story emerges as a long journey of willpower, gratitude, and a desire to serve.
A promise to my father
When mentioning the late composer Bac Son, the public immediately remembers his melodies that embody the simple, sincere spirit of the Southern Vietnamese countryside, imbued with love for the land and its people. For Bich Thuy, that legacy is not simply a family memory. It is a responsibility.

After her father passed away, she chose to keep him close through music. The Bac Son Love Song Troupe was born from a very simple thought: those songs needed to continue to be sung, not only on big stages but also in places where people needed to be shared through art.
"If my father's music once made people love their homeland more and live more virtuously, then what I need to do is to let those melodies continue to accompany life today" – that's how she fulfills her father's wish.
According to Bich Thuy, what makes her happiest is not the titles or business achievements, but the fact that she has fulfilled her father's wish – musician and Meritorious Artist Bac Son – to develop music with the folk music of Southern Vietnam and to revive the theatrical works that had made his mark.
Sixty Years in Retrospect: The Journey of a Lifetime
"Sixty years of life – a milestone to look back on with a smile. To look back on a time of youthful courage, battling many adversities, to look back on the golden seasons created, and to look back on the warm embraces given."

Few people know that the greatest asset of that twenty-year-old girl was not money or support, but her stubbornness and determination not to succumb to poverty.
During the difficult times when the country faced many challenges, with a volatile market and backward agricultural production, she chose to persevere rather than retreat.
She always expresses her gratitude to those who have been by her side, even though today each of them has chosen a different path. Perhaps it is those years of challenges that have shaped Bich Thuy into a decisive, dynamic woman who still retains the gentleness of someone who always puts love first.
The economic "achievements" of a woman who dared to move forward.
After more than thirty years at the helm of her business, at the age of 60, Bich Thuy views economic success not as the ultimate goal, but as proof that women are perfectly capable of leadership, creating value, and deserving of respect.
For her, business has never been just about profit figures. Starting from the agricultural sector, she built a multi-sector business model, creating stable jobs for hundreds of local workers and contributing to the regional economy.

Through numerous workshops, technology transfer programs, and communication activities, she pioneered the introduction of scientific and technological solutions into production, helping farmers reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance the value of agricultural products.
She entered the real estate field during a period full of upheaval, sadness, and disappointment. From a simple rental housing model at the beginning, that journey gradually expanded to nearly a dozen residential projects and eight facilities for raising underprivileged children.
Over a thousand journeys of love
These charitable activities are continuing and being extended through concrete actions.
The figure of over a thousand performances is not easily imagined when viewed in the context of a privately run performing arts troupe.
At 60 years old, she still dedicates much of her passion to social housing projects, targeting workers and low-income earners – because, in her opinion, having a place to live is still the most important foundation for everyone to live a better life.
