On the morning of July 28th, the National Defense Academy held a conference to summarize the 2022-2023 academic year and review the implementation of tasks during the first six months of 2023. Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Viet Khoa, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Director of the National Defense Academy, chaired the conference.
Attending the conference were: Major General, Dr. Nguyen Van Oanh, Director of the Department of Military Schools, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Luong Dinh Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the National Defense Academy; and representatives from the leadership of agencies, units, departments, and faculties of the Academy.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, in accordance with the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense 's policy that "the quality of training at the school is the combat readiness of the unit," the Academy has strived to innovate its training programs and content, compile textbooks and materials, and improve the quality of lectures based on the principle of "teaching effectively, learning effectively, and evaluating results effectively"; with the motto "putting the learner at the center," and strengthening exchange and interaction between lecturers and students...
Therefore, training has seen many positive changes, with increasingly high-quality training, contributing to building a high-level officer corps for the Army. At the same time, it has effectively fulfilled the task of providing national defense and security knowledge training for high-level officers under central government management, meeting the requirements of the mission in the new situation.

In particular, over the past period, the Academy has actively exploited the application of information technology and digital television in teaching, scientific research, and training management; comprehensively implemented the contents of e-government development towards digital government and digital transformation within the Academy; and incorporated teaching content on e-government and digital transformation into training programs.
To date, the Academy has completed its training plan, educating nearly 610 students according to their positions, academic degrees, international training, advanced political theory training, and national defense and security knowledge enhancement. As a result of the 2022-2023 academic year, 100% of the students met or exceeded the required standards.

Speaking at the conference, Senior General Tran Viet Khoa commended the Academy's achievements in training and education; and suggested that in the coming time, the National Defense Academy should continue to innovate the curriculum, content, and teaching methods; and effectively implement Resolution No. 8 of the Central Committee (11th term) on "Fundamentally and comprehensively reforming education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the context of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration"...
At the same time, we will promote the application of achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution; build an electronic academy towards a digital academy in accordance with the digital transformation roadmap of the Ministry of National Defense, focusing on items that serve training and education.
At the conference, representatives from various departments, faculties, and systems of the Academy discussed and contributed practical ideas to improve the effectiveness and quality of training at the Academy.
