The People's Committee of Hoi An City has instructed the Hoi An Cultural Heritage Conservation Management Center to install warning signs and implement appropriate protective measures. The People's Committees of Minh An and Cam Pho wards are to strengthen inspections, remind people, and regulate the number of pedestrians on the bridge to limit the load.

Currently, the wooden bridge connecting Bach Dang Street and Cong Nu Ngoc Hoa Street is in serious disrepair, especially the floorboards and railings, which are rotten, broken, and disconnected in many places, posing a safety risk to residents and tourists when using the bridge.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Hoi An City has requested the Finance and Planning Department and other relevant agencies and units to actively coordinate in appraising the investment dossier and related legal procedures to organize the construction of this wooden bridge project according to the approved investment plan as soon as possible.

This will improve traffic flow between Bach Dang Street and Cong Nu Ngoc Hoa Street, ensuring safety and reducing congestion around the Japanese Bridge; while also preserving the pedestrian street's landscape to serve tourists and locals visiting Hoi An Old Town.
