Conference of the Provincial Steering Committee on Science, Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation

Dien Bien TV - On the afternoon of March 26th, the Provincial Steering Committee for Science , Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation held a conference to approve several draft reports and action programs on the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province.

Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Steering Committee; Comrade Mua A Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; and Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, co-chaired the conference. Attending the conference were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; members of the Steering Committee; and representatives from several provincial departments and agencies.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong, Head of the Steering Committee, delivered a speech at the meeting.

The conference adopted the Draft Report on the implementation of Resolution No. 57, dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in national science, technology, and innovation development in Dien Bien province. Accordingly, in the past period, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has issued the Provincial Party Committee's Action Program; established a Steering Committee; developed a system of research and testing centers and key laboratories; promoted the application and development of national digital technology, built a public-private partnership mechanism; developed and utilized high-quality human resources; promoted digital transformation, application of science and technology, and innovation in political system agencies... and also approved urgent science and technology tasks for 2025.

During the meeting, delegates focused on breakthrough issues in the development of science and technology, national innovation, and digital transformation, concentrating on topics, projects, and tasks related to agriculture ; education and training; health; culture; tourism; intellectual property and digital transformation; and resources for attracting high-quality human resources to the province...

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong emphasized the urgency and role of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the province's development. The Provincial Party Secretary requested that the action plan be based on the local reality and be highly feasible; that members of the Steering Committee resolutely implement tasks related to the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. During implementation, it is necessary to specifically assess the province's resources; develop industrial and technology zones linked to innovation; and preserve, protect, and promote the cultural identity of ethnic groups to develop tourism.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: It is necessary to maximize the utilization of human resources, namely the number of cadres, civil servants, and employees after the restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus; to create the best possible conditions for investors to promote socio-economic development, thereby creating an important driving force and contributing to making Dien Bien a province with a relatively high level of socio-economic development in the country.
