Practically commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Journalists Association (April 21, 1950 - April 21, 2025), towards the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), on April 20, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association organized the "Returning to the Source" program at historical and cultural relic sites in the Thai Nguyen Safe Zone relic cluster, Thai Nguyen province.
Attending the program were comrades: Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, member of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; veteran journalists, leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association through the periods; comrades of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association; permanent representatives of the Journalists Associations of provinces and centrally-run cities, branches and sub-branches under the Vietnam Journalists Association...
At the beginning of the "Back to the Source" program, delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House (Deo De Relic Site, Phu Dinh Commune, Dinh Hoa Safe Zone, Thai Nguyen). Next, they visited and learned about traditional information and documents at the National Historical and Cultural Relic Site - the place where the Vietnam Journalists Association was founded (Roong Khoa Village, Diem Mac Commune, Dinh Hoa Safe Zone, Thai Nguyen); and visited the National Historical and Cultural Relic Site - Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School (Tan Thai Commune, Dai Tu Safe Zone, Thai Nguyen).
The program “Returning to the Source” aims to commemorate, remember and pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and the Party’s senior journalists and revolutionary soldiers; at the same time, it helps cadres and members of the Vietnam Journalists Association at all levels and sectors to study documents and gain a deeper understanding of the glorious historical tradition of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press and the Vietnam Journalists Association through the ages; to remember and pay tribute to the contributions of previous generations of senior journalists to the revolutionary cause, thereby multiplying pride, confidence and determination to contribute their efforts and intelligence to build the press and the Vietnam Journalists Association to develop more and more strongly, meeting the requirements of political tasks in the new era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.
