The event gathered leading doctors and researchers in the fields of oncology, radiology, diagnostic imaging and surgery, along with representatives of international medical technology corporations such as Siemens Healthineers... to update advances in breast cancer screening - the disease with the highest incidence rate in Vietnamese women, promote professional cooperation and promote personalized care for breast cancer patients in Vietnam. The conference was chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung - Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and Associate Professor, Dr. Le Tuan Linh - Director of the Center for Radiology and Intervention, Hanoi Medical University Hospital.
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Tuan Linh - Director of the Center for Radiology and Intervention, Hanoi Medical University Hospital. Deputy Head of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, Hanoi Medical University.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Dr. Bui Van Chinh - CEO of Mammocare Vietnam said: According to the Global Cancer Organization (Globocan), by 2040, the rate of cancer in Vietnam will increase by about 59.4% and the mortality rate from this disease will be about 70.3%. Especially breast cancer, although this disease is mainly found in women, is the type of cancer with the highest mortality rate and the highest incidence rate in both sexes.
According to Dr. Chinh, one of the reasons leading to the mortality rate is due to late detection, poor awareness, limited technical means, inconsistent professional qualifications and lack of proper social attention to this issue.
Doctor Bui Van Chinh - CEO of Mammocare Vietnam delivered the opening speech.
Dr. Chinh further emphasized: "We wish to not only create a prestigious facility with modern medical equipment and a team of leading experts in the field of breast cancer diagnosis and screening. But also create an ecosystem of connection - training - sharing clinical and paraclinical experience between treatment lines."
At the workshop, experts also shared a lot of information related to this field. Specifically, Dr. Dao Thuy Linh - a diagnostic imaging doctor at MammoCare Hanoi, impressed with her presentation on 3D breast X-ray technology (Tomosynthesis): "This technology allows "cross-sectional viewing" with thin slices of only 1mm, helping to observe breast lesions more clearly and accurately, and helping to detect early small potential lesions that 2D X-rays may miss, especially in women with dense breast tissue - thereby supporting more accurate diagnosis and significantly reducing unnecessary biopsies".
Doctor CKI Dao Thuy Linh - Director of Mammocare Hanoi Breast Pathology Diagnosis Center answered the discussion.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hoang Anh Dung - Deputy Head of the Department of Breast Surgery, Central Cancer Hospital presented the multimodal treatment (MDT) model, emphasizing the effectiveness of breast conservation surgery after preoperative chemotherapy. This method not only helps reduce invasive interventions but also improves the quality of life for patients.

• Application of artificial intelligence (AI) in diagnostic imaging;
• Genetic testing in selecting targeted therapy regimens;
• Potential for implementing precision medicine in Vietnam;
• Inter-hospital cooperation model in breast cancer patient management with the participation of representatives from Siemens Healthineer, Mammocare, K Hospital, Hanoi Medical University Hospital and experienced experts.
