Over 1,500 people participated in the "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" program.

On July 26th, at the Bac Ninh City Cultural and Sports Center, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, in coordination with the Central Organizing Committee of the Red Journey Campaign and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc, organized the "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" blood donation festival and honored outstanding blood donors of the province in 2023.

Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented Certificates of Commendation to individuals who have achieved outstanding results in voluntary blood donation.

Attending the event were: Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation; Mr. Nguyen Hanh Chung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society ; and more than 1,500 people who registered to participate in voluntary blood donation.

Comrades Vuong Quoc Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Nguyen Hanh Chung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, presented Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to individuals with outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation.

The 2023 "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" blood donation event attracted over 1,500 registered volunteers from various departments, organizations, and businesses in the province. The one-day program was expected to collect 1,200 units of blood.

Delegates took a commemorative photo with individuals who had achieved outstanding results in voluntary blood donation in 2023.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan congratulated the province on its achievements and positive results in blood donation campaigns in recent years. Specifically, Bac Ninh has mobilized and received nearly 139,000 units of blood, with nearly 14,500 units collected in 2022 alone, 100% of which were voluntary donations. The blood donation rate among the population increased from nearly 0.18% in 2008 to 0.9% in 2022. 2023 marks the 9th year the Red Journey campaign has been organized in Bac Ninh – a clear testament to the special attention of the provincial leaders, as well as the decisive and responsible direction of the Provincial Blood Donation Campaign Steering Committee. He requested that all departments, agencies, organizations, and sponsors in the province continue to pay close attention and create favorable conditions for the Blood Donation Campaign Steering Committees at all levels to effectively carry out their activities. The provincial media agencies continue to coordinate, direct, and promote the active participation of cadres, Party members, civil servants, and workers in blood donation, so that the blood donation movement in Bac Ninh province will develop sustainably, contributing to the care, protection, and improvement of people's health in the locality.

Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and other delegates encouraged those participating in voluntary blood donation.

On this occasion, 10 outstanding individuals in the voluntary blood donation movement were awarded Certificates of Commendation by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 50 exemplary blood donors received tokens and gifts from the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation for their many achievements in voluntary blood donation.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, presented a commemorative flag and emblem of the "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" program in 2023 to Bac Ninh province.

The "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" program, launched in 2013, has spread to 58 provinces and cities nationwide, receiving 700,000 units of blood and contributing to raising awareness about blood donation among millions of people. In 2023, the "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" program, launched from the beginning of June to the end of July, traveled through 48 provinces and cities, and is expected to collect more than 120,000 units of blood.
