On May 21st, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, the Ho Chi Minh City Technology Exchange organized the opening of the "Techmart specializing in green and circular technologies in 2026".
This year, Techmart attracted more than 100 technologies and equipment, many green technology solutions, circular technologies, and sustainable production models.
Thus, the event contributes to supporting businesses in accessing new technologies and enhancing their competitiveness through innovation, green transformation, and collaborative development. At the same time, it contributes to promoting the green transformation, circular economy , and sustainable development of Ho Chi Minh City in a modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly direction.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Lam Dinh Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, said that in the context of green standards, emission reduction requirements, and ESG (environment-social-governance) governance gradually becoming new competitive conditions for businesses in the global supply chain, green transformation is no longer just a trend, but has become an essential requirement for the development of each country, locality, and enterprise.
Ho Chi Minh City recognizes that green transformation and circular economy are not only requirements for sustainable development, but also opportunities to restructure its growth model, enhance competitiveness, and create new economic drivers in the coming period.

"This year's Techmart is not only a place to showcase technology and equipment, but also aims to create an open connection space between the green transformation needs of businesses and the research, application, and technology transfer capabilities of research institutes, universities, businesses, and the innovation ecosystem," Mr. Lam Dinh Thang emphasized.
A highlight of this year's Techmart is the large-scale exhibition area with 50 live booths, creating a comprehensive technology ecosystem serving sustainable production through the close integration of four key sectors.
Specifically, the green energy and energy-saving technology group offers IoT-integrated solar power systems, inverters, and energy storage devices to help factories optimize electricity consumption efficiency...
The environmental technology and circular economy group focuses on solving the waste problem comprehensively through groundbreaking solutions that transform waste into resources instead of landfilling.
The monitoring, measurement, and governance technology group provides digital governance tools such as greenhouse gas inventory software, blockchain-based carbon footprint tracing platforms, and continuous monitoring sensor systems.

Finally, the green materials technology group introduced groundbreaking alternative materials such as nano-biofilms for fruit preservation, bioplastic granules from rice husks, biocellulose extracted from coconuts, and material-saving resin 3D printing technologies.
In addition, within the framework of Techmart 2026, there will be 15 thematic workshops showcasing technology to share practical experiences and update on new trends.
The event took place over two days, May 21-22, at the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
