Over 250 underprivileged women received free medical examinations and medication.

(CT) - The Can Tho City Women's Union, in coordination with Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, recently organized free medical examinations, health consultations, medication distribution, and gift giving for disadvantaged women members in Phuong Binh commune.

Construction begins on Bach Yen 2 Bridge.

Over 250 female members received clinical examinations from doctors and nurses, as well as advice on healthcare and guidance on preventing common diseases. At this event, the Can Tho City Women's Union presented gifts to 250 female members in difficult circumstances.

From the beginning of April until now, the Can Tho City Women's Union has coordinated and organized three medical examination and treatment sessions for more than 800 members and women in difficult circumstances in communes and wards.

The Women's Union of Hoa Luu commune, in coordination with the commune's People's Committee and benefactors, recently commenced the construction of the Bach Yen 2 bridge (Anti-Tank Bridge) in Tu Sang hamlet. This project is a celebratory achievement for the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031, and the 14th National Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union.

The Bach Yen 2 bridge is 18m long, 3.5m wide, and cost a total of 210 million VND to build; of which, Ms. Pham Thi Bach Yen from Tay Ninh province raised 150 million VND in sponsorship, and the local government contributed 60 million VND.
