On the morning of March 18th, over 5 million children from 12,000 primary schools in 63 provinces and cities set a record for 'The largest number of primary schools participating in a children's mass performance nationwide'.
The mass performance, a collaboration between the Kun milk brand and the Central Youth Union, was recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings). The record for "The largest number of participating primary schools nationwide" involved 12,000 schools and 5 million primary school students performing simultaneously.
The "Kun warriors" from 63 provinces and cities performed alongside artist Truong Giang, freestyle football athletes Do Kim Phuc, Viet Anh, Minh Nhat, and child singer Candy Ngoc Ha. According to the organizers, this was the result of two weeks of diligent practice by the children under the guidance of their teachers.
The "Kun warriors" set a Vietnamese record by performing a schoolyard dance on the morning of March 18th.
"I'm very happy and feel healthy participating in the performance. We practiced for about two weeks to get the schoolyard performance we had today," shared Phuong Linh, a 5th-grade student from Bac Ha Primary School, Ha Tinh.
Lan Anh, a parent present at the event, said that pride was the feeling she had watching her child participate in the group performance and fully experience it. "Seeing my child complete the performance from the sidelines made me incredibly proud. Because my child, who was once shy and rarely participated in physical activities, has matured noticeably after two weeks of practice," Lan Anh shared.
Students at the satellite locations performed a synchronized dance in the schoolyard.
According to a representative from the Kun brand, seeing the children's enthusiasm for physical activity and watching them grow is a source of motivation for them to continue expanding the event. This creates an encouraging effect, motivating children to improve their physical and mental health. "We believe that practicing synchronized movements to cheerful, easy-to-remember Kun music will help children feel more enthusiastic and creative for a dynamic day of learning. Not only did this event set a national record, but it also marks Kun's efforts over the past 20 years: creating truly beneficial playgrounds, helping children to freely exercise and continuously create in a joyful childhood world , always with Kun by their side," the brand representative stated.
The mass performance was the opening event of the "Healthy and Happy Children" program, launching a 7-week intensive competition for Vietnamese children to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. The mass performance was also part of the "Vietnamese Children - Study Well, Train Well" program series organized by International Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (IDP) in collaboration with the Central Youth Union.
The event set a Vietnamese record.
Over the years, the Kun milk brand - International Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (IDP) - has implemented the "Doing Good with Kun Every Day" program series, which includes engaging and meaningful offline and online events and content reaching millions of children nationwide.
In 2024 alone, besides setting a national record, the brand will continue to organize a series of physical activity programs such as the Kun Marathon, the Kun Superb Football Tournament, etc. "We hope that children across Vietnam will have the opportunity to experience real-life events, meet their idols, and learn many meaningful and humane lessons. At the same time, we aim to create a beneficial playground that allows children to freely exercise and continuously be creative," a Kun representative said.
