The event serves as a forum for management agencies, businesses, and tourism partners to review the current state of cooperation, assess development potential, and propose practical solutions to promote tourist exchanges in the future.
Speaking at the conference, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi emphasized that Vietnam-Russia relations continue to develop well in many fields, creating a solid foundation for tourism to become one of the highlights of bilateral cooperation.
Tourism not only contributes to promoting people-to-people exchanges, but also plays an important bridging role, further deepening the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The positive signs in the tourism industry clearly reflect the potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Russia. In just the first four months of 2026, Vietnam welcomed over 500,000 Russian tourists. Prior to that, in 2025, the number of Russian visitors to Vietnam exceeded 600,000, officially returning to the highest level recorded before the pandemic.
This impressive growth demonstrates Vietnam's increasing attractiveness to Russian tourists and reflects the strong recovery in demand for travel, relaxation, cultural exploration, and destination discovery between the two countries.
This also serves as an important foundation for both sides to continue expanding cooperation, diversifying tourism products, and strengthening connectivity, aiming for sustainable development in the future.
