Comedian Ben Stiller's 17-year marriage has ended.

Once known as one of Hollywood's happiest couples, actor Ben Stiller and actress Christine Taylor recently went their separate ways after 17 years of marriage.

On May 26th, actor Ben Stiller and his wife released a statement to the press saying: “With love and respect for each other after 18 years of meeting and living together, we have decided to separate. Our top priority now is raising our children as devoted parents and remaining close friends. We earnestly request that everyone respect our privacy at this time.”

Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor began dating while co-starring in the television series Heat Vision and Jack in 1999. After a year of dating, the couple decided to get married in a romantic beach wedding in Hawaii in 2000. After 17 years of marriage, Ben and Christine have a daughter, Ella Olivia (15 years old), and a son, Quinlin Dempsey (12 years old).

Christine and Ben have starred in numerous comedies together, including Zoolander, Zoolander 2, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Tropic Thunder , and Arrested Development . The pair frequently praise each other in the press.

“The first time I met her, I thought about it a lot. Christine is a wonderful person, I love her,” the actor said in an interview with ET Online in 2007. He revealed that one of the factors keeping the spark alive in their marriage is their shared sense of humor.

In October 2016, Ben Stiller shocked fans when he revealed he had prostate cancer. He had actually been diagnosed in 2014 and had been undergoing treatment in secret with his family all this time. The actor has now recovered and has begun returning to acting.

Ben Stiller is one of the most influential comedians in America, alongside big names like Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, and Steve Carell. Throughout his career, he has won numerous prestigious awards, including Emmy Awards and MTV Movie Awards.
