Was Huong Giang's exam score manipulated?

Following allegations of score manipulation, MGI All Stars explained that the screens displaying judges Omar and Osmel were swapped. This did not affect the total score or the final results.

On the evening of May 30th, the MGI (Miss Grand International) All Stars 2026 final took place in Thailand, featuring many prominent contestants who had made their mark in previous seasons. In the end, Huong Giang won the second runner-up title, the contestant from Ghana took first runner-up, and the representative from Colombia was crowned Miss Grand International.

Immediately after the final, judge Omar Harfouch posted his top 3 score sheet on his Instagram story. In it, all three contestants received a perfect score of 10 points. However, netizens pointed out that in the final score sheet displayed at the end of the competition, Vanessa from Colombia received 10 points from Omar, while Huong Giang only got 9 points and Faith Porter from Ghana only received 8.9 points.

This raised suspicions that MGI All Stars was rigged, with judges manipulating scores. By noon on May 31st, the organizers explained that the incident occurred because the scoreboard displayed during the final night had been mistakenly swapped between the two judges, Omar and Osmel.

"We would like to correct the error regarding the scores of Mr. Osmel and Mr. Omar, which were displayed in the wrong position on the results screen. Due to an internal score display error, the scores of these two judges were inadvertently swapped. To ensure accuracy and transparency, we have updated the results screen as shown in the attached document."

Please note that the total score and final results remain completely unchanged. We sincerely apologize for any confusion caused by this incident and greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support," MGI stated.
