Ca Mau Newspaper On the morning of April 30th, within the framework of the 5th Southern Vietnam Traditional Cake Festival in Ca Mau City in 2025, a traditional cake competition was held with the theme "The Flavors and Colors of Ca Mau," aiming to honor the traditional flavors of traditional cakes in social life.

The competition featured 30 teams from districts, Ca Mau City, and some units outside the province. Each team consisted of 5 members. The teams not only presented cakes with a strong community imprint but also showcased creativity and innovative variations.

The judging panel awarded points to the team from Tran Van Thoi district. The artwork's theme was to express gratitude to their roots and celebrate the liberation of the country.

The atmosphere at the festival was vibrant, filled with colorful cakes and unique displays. The organizers provided the best conditions for the teams to showcase their talents at separate booths, before arranging them together in the "common house" for the judges to score.

The team from Ward 6, Ca Mau City, presented a colorful artwork, showcasing a unique concept featuring the shape of the country and images from the liberation day of April 30th.

According to the organizers, the ingredients used by the competing teams were carefully selected from foods, vegetables, and fruits with clear origins, environmentally friendly, ensuring food safety and hygiene, while also promoting a spirit of economy and creativity in their use.

The competing teams showcased creativity and skill through each of their works.

Within 180 minutes, teams complete a product for 10 people to taste. Each team has a maximum of 5 minutes to present the idea and the story behind their cake.

The ingredients were carefully selected by the competing teams from foods, vegetables, and fruits with clear origins and that are environmentally friendly.

The lively atmosphere of the Southern Vietnamese Traditional Cake Festival will continue with a competition showcasing the wrapping and cooking of banh tet (Vietnamese sticky rice cake) on the morning of May 2nd, followed by the awards ceremony in the afternoon of the same day.

The teams felt joy in creating beautiful and meaningful works of art.

Through competitions and demonstrations of traditional cakes, this is a valuable opportunity to honor and promote the unique culinary cultural values ​​of the Southern region. The event has attracted a large number of locals and tourists to visit and cheer, contributing to spreading pride in these simple yet flavorful traditional cakes.
