The Son La branch of Goodfaith Vietnam Investment and Development Co., Ltd., located in Binh Minh sub-district, Mai Son commune, currently employs 800 local workers. Before joining the company, all workers receive basic training. Employees are guaranteed benefits regarding working conditions, policies, overtime pay, social insurance, and health insurance. Ms. Phi Thi Hang, Head of the Preparation Department, shared: "Previously, I didn't have a stable job. Since becoming a worker, my monthly income is over 7 million VND, and my life has improved significantly. Initially, I was a bit unfamiliar with the work, but thanks to the training and guidance, I quickly adapted and settled into the job. Working locally means I don't have to travel far or rent a house, so I save on living expenses and can still manage my time to care for my family."

Meanwhile, at Moc Chau Island Tourist Area in Moc Chau Ward, after more than 4 years of operation, it has created stable jobs for over 300 local workers. The tourist area has many different specialized departments, therefore the demand for labor is diverse and varied, ranging from unskilled to skilled workers. Upon recruitment, employees receive one month of training and a probationary period of 1-2 months, helping them gain confidence and professional skills to serve tourists. Ms. Ngan Thuy Nhung, from Doan Ket Commune, a receptionist, shared: "Working at the tourist area, I received professional reception training; I introduced the tourist area's services to customers; provided guests with necessary information, local events and tourist destinations... After more than 4 years of working, the unit has ensured me with full benefits; provided uniforms; supported meals and transportation; and given me a stable income."

The Bao Minh Agricultural Service Cooperative in Chieng Khoong commune has 13 members and cultivates 50 hectares of fruit trees. Besides producing fresh fruit, the cooperative also purchases fresh longan fruit to process into dried longan, which is distributed to BigC Thang Long and VinMart supermarkets in Hanoi and exported to South Korea and China. Mr. Le Danh Phuc, Deputy Director of the cooperative, shared: "Over the years, the cooperative has always received attention from the local government, regularly organizing training courses and providing technical guidance on planting and caring for fruit trees according to VietGAP standards, expanding production scale, and increasing income. During the fruit harvest season, the cooperative creates jobs for 26 seasonal workers; during the dried longan drying season, the cooperative provides jobs for 120 local workers daily."

The province currently has over 768,000 workers aged 15 and above, accounting for nearly 58% of the population. In recent years, the province has focused on developing industrial parks and clusters in rural areas, expanding organic farming models, community tourism, and homestay services, providing workers with more job opportunities right in their localities. To date, the province has 4,931 businesses, 835 cooperatives, and 6 cooperative unions in operation, covering sectors such as agriculture, industry, construction, energy, trade, services, and tourism, ensuring stable income for workers; paying taxes in full and actively participating in social welfare activities.

To connect local workers with jobs in businesses and cooperatives throughout the province, the Center for Archives, Employment, and Meritorious Persons (under the Department of Internal Affairs) has annually intensified its communication efforts through social media platforms such as Facebook and Zalo, enabling job counselors to easily access recruitment information. It collaborates with businesses to organize job counseling and placement conferences at local establishments to facilitate meetings, discussions, and recruitment of workers; and actively cooperates in organizing job fairs and career guidance programs for young people, demobilized soldiers, and workers seeking employment. To date, the province has a total of approximately 60,295 workers employed in various types of businesses and cooperatives, primarily in the manufacturing, processing, construction, and service sectors.

Striving to create jobs for 22,000 workers annually throughout the province, all levels and sectors will continue to coordinate with businesses to effectively organize job fairs and employment events in communes and wards; implement credit programs to support job creation; strengthen vocational training, linking training with business needs; and prioritize support for vulnerable groups of workers, workers in remote areas, and border regions.
